= Édifice =
Construit au XIII<sup>ème</sup> siècle. Église faisant alors partie du couvent des cordeliers (franciscains), consacrée en 1233 sous le vocable de la Sainte Trinité. Le chœur a été ajouté en 1272. En 1608, devient l'église des Récollets. Le couvent et l'église ont été déclarés biens nationaux à la révolution, les Récollets étant expulsés. Réouverture au culte en 1802. L'église prend le titre de St Géry en 1805, hérité de la collégiale de ce nom qui fut détruite pendant la révolution. Le beffroi communal situé non loin de là s'effondre en 1843. En 1850, il est décidé d'en édifier un nouveau, attenant à l'église, servant à la fois de clocher et de tour de guet. Ce beffroi est réalisé en 1853.
L'église est atteinte par plusieurs bombes perdues en 1944, ce qui entraîne sa fermeture. Deux incendies surviennent en 1953 et 1958. Réouverture au culte en 1965.
= Historique =
Orgue construit par Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, pour la coquette somme de 50 000 francs (à comparer avec le prix des orgues livrées dans le Nord par la manufacture [[Delmotte]], à la même époque). Inauguration le 27 septembre 1898 par Charles-Marie Widor. La firme Cavaillé-Coll avait, peu de temps auparavant, perdu le marché du grand orgue de N.D. du Saint Cordon au profit de son principal concurrent de l'époque, Joseph [[Merklin]]. Ce dernier instrument avait fait l'objet d'une polémique en 1891, à laquelle Widor avait participé.
Cet orgue dispute avec quelques autres (St Sever, Azkoitia... d'ailleurs bien mieux conservés) le titre de "dernier instrument de Cavaillé-Coll". Cela n'a pas grand sens, le successeur Mutin ayant œuvré dans la même veine, les mêmes ateliers, avec les mêmes ouvriers, etc. pendant plusieurs années. Pas d'informations sur l'ancien orgue, ni sur son réemploi éventuel. Les tuyaux de montre ont été saisis, là comme ailleurs, au cours de la 1° guerre mondiale. Le buffet a été détruit lors d'un incendie survenu dans les années 60 (sans doute 1958, cf. ci-dessus). On ne sait dans quelles conditions la tuyauterie a survécu. Je présume qu'elle avait été mise en lieu sûr avant ou immédiatement après le bombardement de 1944, et que seul le buffet était resté en place. Une partie au moins de la tuyauterie avait été stockée chez Merklin (plus exactement, Michel, Merklin & Kuhn), ce qui a sans doute influé sur le choix de ce facteur pour la reconstruction.
Restauration et électrification par Michel Merklin & Kuhn (Lyon) vers 1967 ou peu après, avec une nouvelle console placée sur le côté gauche de la tribune, perpendiculairement au buffet. La composition a été quelque peu modifiée à cette occasion, mais l'essentiel de la tuyauterie aurait été conservé.
Nouvelle restauration par Bernard [[Cogez, Bernard|Cogez]] en 1991. A cette occasion, il déplace les tuyaux de bombarde 16 pour former la mitre actuellement visible. La console est renouvelée avec des éléments (claviers, tirants de jeux) de fabrication Laukhuff. L'harmonie est significativement retouchée (grossissement des tailles, suppression de dents de biseaux, modifications de l'embouchage). Nouveaux changements de composition, toujours dans le sens "classique". L'instrument n'était pas, alors, classé MH.

= Édifice =
Construit au XIII<sup>ème</sup> siècle. Église faisant alors partie du couvent des cordeliers (franciscains), consacrée en 1233 sous le vocable de la Sainte Trinité. Le chœur a été ajouté en 1272. En 1608, devient l'église des Récollets. Le couvent et l'église ont été déclarés biens nationaux à la révolution, les Récollets étant expulsés. Réouverture au culte en 1802. L'église prend le titre de St Géry en 1805, hérité de la collégiale de ce nom qui fut détruite pendant la révolution. Le beffroi communal situé non loin de là s'effondre en 1843. En 1850, il est décidé d'en édifier un nouveau, attenant à l'église, servant à la fois de clocher et de tour de guet. Ce beffroi est réalisé en 1853.
L'église est atteinte par plusieurs bombes perdues en 1944, ce qui entraîne sa fermeture. Deux incendies surviennent en 1953 et 1958. Réouverture au culte en 1965.
= Historique =
Orgue construit par Aristide Cavaillé-Coll, pour la coquette somme de 50 000 francs (à comparer avec le prix des orgues livrées dans le Nord par la manufacture [[Delmotte]], à la même époque). Inauguration le 27 septembre 1898 par Charles-Marie Widor. La firme Cavaillé-Coll avait, peu de temps auparavant, perdu le marché du grand orgue de N.D. du Saint Cordon au profit de son principal concurrent de l'époque, Joseph [[Merklin]]. Ce dernier instrument avait fait l'objet d'une polémique en 1891, à laquelle Widor avait participé.
Cet orgue dispute avec quelques autres (St Sever, Azkoitia... d'ailleurs bien mieux conservés) le titre de "dernier instrument de Cavaillé-Coll". Cela n'a pas grand sens, le successeur Mutin ayant œuvré dans la même veine, les mêmes ateliers, avec les mêmes ouvriers, etc. pendant plusieurs années. Pas d'informations sur l'ancien orgue, ni sur son réemploi éventuel. Les tuyaux de montre ont été saisis, là comme ailleurs, au cours de la 1° guerre mondiale. Le buffet a été détruit lors d'un incendie survenu dans les années 60 (sans doute 1958, cf. ci-dessus). On ne sait dans quelles conditions la tuyauterie a survécu. Je présume qu'elle avait été mise en lieu sûr avant ou immédiatement après le bombardement de 1944, et que seul le buffet était resté en place. Une partie au moins de la tuyauterie avait été stockée chez Merklin (plus exactement, Michel, Merklin & Kuhn), ce qui a sans doute influé sur le choix de ce facteur pour la reconstruction.
Restauration et électrification par Michel Merklin & Kuhn (Lyon) vers 1967 ou peu après, avec une nouvelle console placée sur le côté gauche de la tribune, perpendiculairement au buffet. La composition a été quelque peu modifiée à cette occasion, mais l'essentiel de la tuyauterie aurait été conservé.
Nouvelle restauration par Bernard [[Cogez, Bernard|Cogez]] en 1991. A cette occasion, il déplace les tuyaux de bombarde 16 pour former la mitre actuellement visible. La console est renouvelée avec des éléments (claviers, tirants de jeux) de fabrication Laukhuff. L'harmonie est significativement retouchée (grossissement des tailles, suppression de dents de biseaux, modifications de l'embouchage). Nouveaux changements de composition, toujours dans le sens "classique". L'instrument n'était pas, alors, classé MH.
